Before you dive into any of the troubleshooting guides on this site, I want to lay out a few ground rules and expectations in plain language. This page is basically the agreement between you and me when you use fixscribes.com. By browsing the site, reading a guide, leaving a comment, or clicking through to any linked resource, you’re agreeing to what’s written here. If something here doesn’t sit right with you, the simplest option is to stop using the site.
What Fixscribes Actually Is
Fixscribes is a personal tech blog where I write step-by-step troubleshooting guides for common problems people run into with laptops, Android devices, Apple products, and other everyday tech. Everything published here—from the how-to guides under Android Fixes, Apple Device Fixes, and Laptop & PC Fixes to any future categories I add—is written based on my own research, testing, and experience.
None of this content comes from an official manufacturer, and Fixscribes isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to Google, Apple, HP, Samsung, Microsoft, or any other brand whose products I write about. Any brand names, logos, or trademarks mentioned on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only for identification purposes—for example, when I write a guide about fixing a black screen on an HP laptop, “HP” is simply the brand name of the device, not an indication that HP created or approved that content.
Content Accuracy and “Use at Your Own Risk”
I put real effort into testing the fixes I write about before publishing them, and I try to keep guides updated when something changes. That said, technology moves fast, device models vary, and what worked on my setup might not work identically on yours. Because of that, I can’t guarantee that every fix will work for every device, operating system version, or situation.
Any steps you follow from this site—especially ones involving system settings, BIOS changes, driver installations, or hardware troubleshooting—are followed at your own risk. If you’re not confident about a step, especially anything involving opening hardware or modifying system files, I’d strongly suggest either researching further or consulting a professional technician before proceeding. I’m not liable for any data loss, device damage, or other issues that might result from following a guide on this site.
Advertising on This Site
Fixscribes terms and conditions displays ads through Google AdSense, which is how I’m able to keep writing and publishing free guides without charging readers anything. These ads are served by Google and its advertising partners, and they may use cookies to show relevant advertisements based on your browsing activity. I’ve explained exactly how that works, along with your opt-out options, in the Privacy Policy, so take a look there if you want the full picture.
I don’t control which specific ads appear on any given page—that’s handled entirely by Google’s ad system—and I’m not responsible for the content, products, or services advertised by third parties on this site. If an ad leads you somewhere and something goes wrong on that end, that’s between you and the advertiser, not me.

A lot of my guides link out to official manufacturer support pages, driver downloads, or other external resources to back up what I’m recommending. Everything I write and publish on Fixscribes—the guides, the images I create, and the site layout—is my own work, and it’s protected by copyright.
