Hi, I’m Muzammil—the person behind Fixscribes. If you’ve landed here from one of my troubleshooting guides, you probably already know what this site is about: practical, step-by-step fixes for the everyday tech problems that send people straight to Google at 2 AM, wondering why their laptop won’t turn on or why their phone screen suddenly went black.
I started Fixscribes because I noticed a gap in how most tech help content is written. A lot of it is either too technical for the average person to follow or too vague to actually solve the problem. My goal with this site is to sit right in the middle—clear enough that anyone can follow along, but detailed enough that the fix actually works.
Why I Started This Site
Like most people who end up writing about tech troubleshooting, I got here through experience, not a job title. Over the years, I’ve spent a lot of time helping friends, family, and clients work through frustrating device problems—a laptop stuck on a black screen, an Android phone that won’t charge properly, or an Apple device throwing an error no one can explain. Each time, I noticed the same pattern: official support pages were either too generic or buried behind confusing menus, and most blog posts online just repeated the same shallow advice without actually testing it.
So I started documenting the fixes myself—the ones that actually worked, in the order that made sense, written the way I’d explain them to a friend sitting next to me. That’s what eventually became Fixscribes.
What I Write About
Fixscribes currently focuses on three main areas:
Laptop and PC Fixes—covering issues like black screens, boot failures, driver conflicts, performance slowdowns, and other problems that affect both Windows and general PC hardware, across brands like HP, Dell, Lenovo, and others.
Android Device Fixes—troubleshooting guides for common Android problems, from software glitches to hardware quirks across different manufacturers and Android versions.
Apple Device Fixes—practical solutions for iPhone, iPad, and Mac issues, written for people who want a fix without digging through Apple’s own support maze.
As the site grows, I plan to expand into more categories, including smart home devices, networking issues, and broader software troubleshooting—basically, anywhere people get stuck with their tech and need a clear way out.
My Approach to Writing Guides
Every guide on Fixscribes follows the same basic principle: I don’t publish a fix unless I’ve actually walked through the steps myself, either on my own devices or by researching the exact cause of the problem thoroughly enough to explain it accurately. I break each guide into clear steps, explain why a fix works and not just what to do, and update older posts whenever something changes—a new OS update, a discontinued setting, or a better solution I’ve since found.
I’m not a manufacturer, and I’m not officially affiliated with HP, Apple, Google, Samsung, or any other brand mentioned on this site. I’m an independent writer who tests, researches, and documents solutions to help readers avoid unnecessary trips to a repair shop or hours of frustrated searching.

This site is built for everyday tech users—students trying to fix a laptop before an assignment deadline, professionals whose phone suddenly stopped working mid-workday, or anyone who just wants a straight answer instead of scrolling through ten different forum threads. You don’t need to be technical to follow a guide here; if you can follow numbered steps, you can fix most of the problems I write about.
